The weather of the last days is often behaving in a similar way. Rainy day, sunny evening. Good for me.

So if it works out that way, I am probably going to take the next shot tonight. And in case that not, here you get something in advance.

It's a photo I made in August '18 when I were on my #holidays in #Switzerland. Hope travelling without restrictions will be possible again soon.

There are still a lot of places that need to be captured.

God dammit! 😅

There are moments when you feel stupid as sh*t. The more it went to the evening today the better the weather got. So of course I decided to make pictures again.

I went for a nice location in #Leiden. I went early to have sufficient time to find the right spot and maybe to watch out for a second one.

But after the first shot I had to realize that I forgot my damn storage card. It was still in the card reader at home. So I hoped to buy one in a big supermarket. My only chance at 8 pm.

But no. Of course not. Would have been too easy. So back home, getting the card and finding something in The Hague.

I decided for the Peace Palaces. It counts as the most captured building in town. Not the easiest subject, because you may not enter the park. But I hope I made something nice out of it.

My lucky time is over. For now.

Yesterday the light hasn't been perfect and I could not find a really nice perspective. A #drone would have made it easier. ^^

The idea was to make a #beautiful pic of a #mosque in #Leiden because of the #sugar #festival.

And today's evening is full of rain. I made it home from #Amsterdam just in time (after #dance #practice I spontaneously made a #bike ride).

That's why you get something older from me (10/2013) of which I realized that I never have shown it on #instagram. One of my all time favourites. Made on a spontaneous #trip to #Prague together with a #friend that had visited me.

It's also on my wall and reminds me to be #grateful for everything I have.

Goed bezig!

That's what a #Dutch person would say. Means something like successfully busy or well done. And yes, even the fourth day in a row I got a chance.

Though the #weather was more promising a couple of hours ago when I was giving #dance #lessons to the #students of #AmsterDance.

Anyway, the plan I had for the #Pier before now applied to the #Rijksmuseum in #Amsterdam. #Long #exposure (210 sec) in #black and #white.

Afterwards getting some groceries closeby and then I wanted to get home. When I reached the highway I already saw the flashes. And I was hoping the storm will only say hello from a distance.

But no, I needed to stop at a big gas station, because I considered this heavy #rain as too dangerous for riding on my #motorbike. With a break of about half an hour I came back even later. But in one piece.

Once again a late night drop.

I decided to make a little #bikeride today. And I combined it with location scouting. Means that I chose my route according several spots that might be interesting.

One really nice surprise was for example #Maassluis. It's definitely on my list. After I realized that I took way longer than I actually planned I had to make a cut, go home (though eating is overrated) and go somewhere making nice pics again.

The choice was one of my scouting spots. The Eastern #Gate of #Delft. And yeah, it was amazing one more time.

I scaled down!

Actually I was thinking about buying an entirely new #camera that I can carry with me almost all the time (the #EOS #5D III provides an amazing quality, but yeah, it's just too big).

My choice should have been the EOS #M50. Small and compatible to my EF system. But the more I thought about it, the more I hesitated. And it came to my mind that I still have a #600D. I checked the measurements. Not much bigger.

Sure, the M50 would have had a better quality, but it is a difference if you only buy a refurbished lens (#Sigma 10-20) for a bit more than 200 Euros or a whole system for 900.

So here we are!

When I arrived in #Leeuwarden one week ago I decided to first ride to the #hotel for checking in and to make a #picture of the #sunset afterwards. It was about half past eight. The #city was very busy due to #Kingsday. A lot of young people on the streets that were about to party though gatherings were still not allowed and a #curfew applicable.
Anyway... I should have rethought my decision. Because check in was possible till 10 pm, so I actually had enough time to look for a nice #location first. And because the procedure took a bit longer and so I had to be quick and this spot was the first I found worthy to stop.

200 seconds

Passed #Leidschendam from time to time and yet, I did not see this little #historic spot for a while. I made a #pic here about one year ago. It was an early #morning. Now I had been on a #biketour. On my back the cam and @gemelinata. #Sunset came closer and closer and the #floodgate was actually the one and only opportunity. After running around the #sluis I thought that this #perspective fitted most subject in relation to the #light. And so... Here we are!

My first #landscape / #cityscape shot of #2021.
After about 1.5 years I had finally a 2 week #vacation again and decided spontaneously to visit #Luxemburg.
The evening before I was not sure if I want to get up early, but yeah, in the end I woke up at 5 am anyway. After thinking if I should go to sleep again I finally decided to dress myself and to get into town. And yeah, thanks to my #motorbike it was really easy to reach my destiny. The #Chemin de la #Corniche.

This one of today may get an own post. While riding home on my #motorbike along the #graafstroom, I passed this #windmill. One of so many in the #Netherlands. But yeah, the #canal and its #curve, the #trees, the #houses and of course the #light of the #sunset, so the whole #composition made me stop spontaneously to take a #picture.

I really enjoy #motorbiking though getting the #driving #license before was quite frustrating. Now I am faster, more flexible, it's cheaper and I never have to watch for a parking spot. And I can stop easier, when I want to. :)

Some kind of old #friend. Though she is still #sweet 18. I met Renske first right after I moved to the #Netherlands. At a point, when I already had a lot of contacts, but no real social circle, yet. So I decided in advance to subscribe for #Salsa lessons at #danceschool #Wesseling in #Delft.

And I am very happy about it. Not only because I improved my salsa skills, but also I got to know this cute little #sunshine that has the ability to make #people #happy with her #smile.

Later on, during the #Covid period, I asked her to join me for a #photo #shoot. Together with her sister we met where we always meet. At the danceschool in Delft. It was a #fun day and I am still in #love with the #pics.
